Veterinary imaging leaders BCF Technology have grown their Research and Development capabilities with Lee Cairns recently joining the business.
Lee has a long pedigree in the veterinary industry, most recently almost 20 years with Vet Solutions, and will be leading the software development team for BCF. This will involve developing mobile data applications for veterinary imaging applications aimed at helping vets improve their workflow and efficiency.
Alan Picken, BCF CEO commented, “Lee has over 25 years’ experience of working with veterinary practices and thoroughly understands vets needs and daily frustrations. We are delighted to welcome such a talented and knowledgeable person to the BCF team.”
Lee added, “I have known BCF for years working within the industry, seeing their long term strategies and aims in developing new products and services aimed at helping vets, is an ideal fit. They are definitely focused on building long-term relationships with their customers and developing technology that makes a real difference.”
Lee is just one of 10 new people to start at BCF in the past year, taking the total team to over 80 worldwide. 2015 saw BCF add CT and MRI into their imaging portfolio, with the number of installations growing by the month. The company has also expanded internationally adding offices in France and India to their existing growing businesses in UK, Ireland and North America. The BCF Easi-Scan bovine ultrasound scanner sold to over 25 countries last year.
Managing Director Gavin Mitchell added, “It is great to see Lee come on board and further strengthen our growing team, he brings along a lot of experience and energy. He will be key in helping us continue to develop new products to help vets continue to improve animal care all over the world.”
